Christine Montgomery

My love of food started at a young age baking and selling pies in my hometown of Bowen Island, BC at just twelve years old. I attended Dubruelle Culinary School in Vancouver, specializing in baking and pastry arts. I continued to work in the industry throughout Vancouver, receiving my Red Seal endorsement. Eventually my entrepreneurial background led me to open a bakery of my own, Flour Bakeshop. The eight years I owned and operated Flour taught me invaluable skills in efficiency, managing a team, recipe development and running a kitchen, as well as allowing me the time to hone my skills as a pastry chef.

Along with food I have a background and love of visual arts. I have attended workshops through Emily Carr University and have sold my painting in local galleries and through private commissions.

My combined interest of food and art led me to food styling where I have worked with clients including Mr. Mikes Steakhouse, Fresh Prep, A&W, Royal Chinet, Fox Studios and Edible Magazine. I have also had the pleasure to assist seasoned stylists on film and photo sets for clients including Stouffers, Subway, McCain, McDonalds, Burger King, Olive Garden, Netflix, Taste Magazine and more.
